Paris Recruiting

Overview

Opened in 1998, our Paris office is a critical player in the legal and business world. The Paris office has more than 40 lawyers, including a number of US practitioners. The majority of our lawyers are members of the Paris Bar.

The Paris office works closely with other Dewey & LeBoeuf offices on European and international transactions. In addition to in-depth transactional expertise, the Paris office has particular strength in EU law advice; matters relating to the oil and gas, power, aviation, and telecommunications industries; and international commercial arbitration and litigation.

The firm's Paris office is a full-service business law practice covering mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, commercial contracts, tax law, labor law, litigation and private equity. Our lawyers act as counsel on significant matters in the areas of insurance, technology, life sciences, energy, media and finance. Our client base in the region includes French and international companies, as well as high net-worth individuals, investment banks, private banks and venture capital funds.

Our lawyers have significant experience in cross-border corporate transactions and advise international companies investing in France, as well as French companies expanding abroad. We also advise major insurance companies in relation to restructurings and general corporate matters; companies in their initial public offerings on the French and American markets; and investment funds and technology companies in relation to financing.

Internships

The Paris office offers four to six internships each year in each of the following areas:
  • Mergers and Acquisitions / Corporate / Finance
  • Litigation / Insurance law / Media and Communication law
  • Tax law

Each internship lasts from three to six months. We are looking for students undertaking a double degree course in business and law school. Given the international nature of the work, an excellent understanding of English is required of all applicants.

If you would like to apply for a position in the Paris office, please submit your cover letter, resume and transcript to our recruiting contact.
