The FCC Adopts Net Neutrality Rules

On December 21, 2010, the Federal Communications Commission (“FCC” or “Commission”) adopted net neutrality rules by a 3-2 vote.2 According to the FCC, these “highlevel rules” will protect openness without burdensome regulation and provide broadband providers and the Commission with the flexibility to adapt as the Internet changes and evolves.
