Dewey & LeBoeuf Advises on the Year's Largest London Stock Exchange Listing
(London - March 20, 2009) Dewey & LeBoeuf represented Bermuda-based Lancashire Holdings Limited in its admission of 182.5 million shares to the Official List and to trading on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange. It represents a market capitalization of £860 million for Lancashire, the international insurance and reinsurance group. This LSE listing is the largest to date in 2009. Merrill Lynch International acted as Sponsor. Partner Joseph Ferraro and a team in London also advised the board of directors and the management of Lancashire on all aspects of its move to the Main Market, including preparation of the prospectus, verification of the prospectus, compliance with listing and DTR rules, corporate governance, and updating compliance and other policies to reflect the change in status.
