Jean Alisse
Partner
Jean Alisse is a partner in the firm's Insurance Regulatory Department and practices in insurance and reinsurance law. He has extensive experience in corporate transactions (French and cross-border mergers, acquisitions and restructurings) and in insurance and reinsurance matters (insurance-linked securities, transfers of business and portfolios, run-offs, captives, structured programs, regulatory issues and insolvencies, as well as litigation and arbitration). He leads the firm's French insurance and reinsurance practice in the Paris office.
Prior to joining the firm in 2001, Mr. Alisse served as general counsel of the SCOR Group for 11 years, where he oversaw all of the legal activities of SCOR and SCOR's subsidiaries. Before that, he worked for 13 years as a lawyer. In 1986, he was general counsel with the Bureau de Recherches Géologiques et Minières (BRGM) in Paris, participating in the international development of BRGM and its subsidiaries. Earlier in his career, Mr. Alisse worked as a commercial attaché at the Banque de La Hénin in Paris.
