Dana M. Marshall
Senior Advisor
Dana M. Marshall is senior advisor (a non-attorney position) in the Washington, DC office. He advises private sector and sovereign government clients on international business strategies and foreign policy, international economic and domestic political issues germane to achieving corporate and government goals for international ventures. He has over 30 years of experience helping firms develop market entry and expansion strategies; foresee, define and limit risk; and forecast and defend against adverse action by foreign government and regulatory agencies. He also assists clients with policy advocacy before Congress, US and foreign governments and international financial institutions.
Prior to joining Dewey & LeBoeuf, Dana held a number of senior-level economic and commercial policy positions in the US government, including international economic policy advisor in the White House, and at positions at the Departments of State and Commerce, office of the US Trade Representative, the Congress and several embassies abroad.
He is a member of a number of foreign affairs and political organizations and serves on private sector advisory committees to the US government.
Dana holds an M.P.A. degree in energy and resource economics from Harvard University, an M.B.A. in international business from Ohio State University, and a B.S. degree in physics from Case Western Reserve University. He speaks Spanish.
