Stefano Speroni is the managing partner of Dewey & LeBoeuf's Rome office, dividing his time between both the Milan and Rome offices. Mr. Speroni became a member of the firm in October 2003 when it launched its Italian practice. He was previously a partner of the largest law firm in Italy. Prior to that, he was a partner of a well-known English firm where he was head of the Italian Corporate practice.
Mr. Speroni has a wide and diversified practice covering mergers and acquisitions, equity capital markets, banking and securitization. He represents clients such as the Italian communications company Wind, as well as the Treasury-owned conglomerates Finnmecanica (Defence) and Enel (Energy).
An authority on Italian banking laws and regulations, Mr. Speroni is frequently cited in Italian financial newspapers such as Il Sole 24 Ore and Milano Finanza, in addition to being frequently interviewed on financial television programs such as CNBC.
Mr. Speroni is mentioned in The European Legal 500 (2003 and 2004 editions) and in European Legal Experts (2004 edition) in relation to banking and finance.
