Suzanne St. Pierre has been advising clients on complex real estate transactions for almost two decades. Her practice encompasses virtually all areas of transactional real estate: development of cultural and mixed-use projects; transactional construction practice, including construction agreements, architect's agreements and dispute resolution; lending transactions, including securitized loans, mezzanine financing and loan workouts; acquisitions and sales of office, industrial and hotel properties and related options, rights of first offer and rights of first refusal; hotel management contracts; leasing transactions; and condominium transactions. Ms. St. Pierre also has broad experience in the structuring of partnerships, limited liability companies and other joint venture vehicles.

Represented a major institutional investor in connection with the formation of a real estate investment fund by her client and the largest privately owned US real estate development company;

Represented the owner of properties in Almaty and Astana, Kazakhstan, in the negotiation with Accor Group of contracts relating to the construction and management of hotels and associated licensing of the Novotel trademark;

Represented Apollo Real Estate Advisors in the negotiation of real estate partnerships in which Apollo real estate funds were the principal investor;

Represented a major European insurance company in the acquisition of an ownership interest in a US real estate fund sponsored by Harbert;

Represented a major German financial institution in the acquisition of a significant ownership interest in a US real estate fund sponsored by The Hines Organization;

Represented Tides Foundation in the acquisition, construction and operation of a multi-tenant non-profit "green" office center within a mixed-use residential and commercial building in downtown Manhattan;

Played a key role in negotiation of the agreement for the sale of nine acres of property in midtown Manhattan by Con Edison to a group headed by New York developers Richard Fisher and Sheldon Solow, along with related construction agreements;

Represented the New York Public Library in connection with the creation of a mixed-use condominium in New York City for library facilities, Columbia dormitory facilities, and retail uses; and

Represented a major New York City cultural institution in the negotiation of a $32 million construction loan secured by a mortgage and charitable pledges.
