Amendments to the Work Permit Rules in Kazakhstan

We would like to bring to your attention recent amendments to the work permit rules which may affect your business in Kazakhstan.

The amendments to the work permit rules were adopted on February 2, 2011 and came into effect February 27, 2011.

Of particular note, the amended work permit rules further limit the total number of work permits which may be issued to legal entities for the employment of foreign nationals – per category.
