Antitrust News in Five Minutes

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (“FTC”) has announced the formation of a project to study the practical and legal issues that arise when patented technology is incorporated into industry standards. The FTC seeks public comments on the issues and will hold a public workshop on June 21, 2011 in Washington, DC.

This memorandum is intended only as a general discussion of these issues. It is not considered to be legal advice. We would be pleased to provide additional details or advice about specific situations.
