Through the years, our firm has been shaped by several dramatic transformations — most recently by the October 2007 merger of Dewey Ballantine and LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae. The Dewey & LeBoeuf brand may be relatively new, but we trace our heritage back to the Root Clark firm, our earliest predecessor firm, which opened for business in January 1909. Even though the names on our door have changed over the past 100 years, our unwavering commitment to outstanding client service and the highest standards of professionalism continue to define our firm in its centennial year. Dewey & LeBoeuf represented Bermuda-based Lancashire Holdings Limited in its admission of 182.5 million shares to the Official List and to trading on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange. It represents a market capitalization of £860 million for Lancashire, the international insurance and reinsurance group. This LSE listing is the largest to date in 2009. More >
