Dewey & LeBoeuf's Italian practice includes some of the leading corporate, finance and tax lawyers in Italy. From the firm's offices in Milan and Rome and the Italian Desk in London, the Italian practice provides clients with legal and tax advice in connection with mergers and acquisitions, private equity, project finance, corporate finance, structured finance, capital markets, securities and securitization.
An asset to our corporate and investment banking clients, the Italian practice works together with lawyers in our European and US offices to provide advice on Italian legal and tax issues in a seamless and integrated manner.
In March 2007, Dewey & LeBoeuf entered into a collaboration agreement with the highly regarded Italian law firm Galgano. This agreement enables Dewey & LeBoeuf to access the distinguished experience of the Galgano firm, in particular the experience of Professor Francesco Galgano and Federico Galgano in relation to litigation matters and legal opinions. As part of this agreement Dewey & LeBoeuf has a presence in Bologna at the offices of Studio Legale Galgano, with a reciprocal arrangement for Galgano at Dewey & LeBoeuf's Milan and Rome offices.
The firm's capability is regularly recognized by leading Italian and international independent publications. The Italian practice received the "European Debt and Equity Linked Deal of the Year" award at the 2006 International Financial Law Review awards ceremony for their role in advising Weather Investments in the acquisition of Wind Telecomunicazioni. In May 2005, our firm won the International Tax Review award as "Best US law firm in Europe."
