LeBoeuf Lamb Advises on Landmark Transaction for the Arab Republic of Egypt
(London, 20 July 2007) - LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae has advised Lead Managers J.P. Morgan Securities Ltd and Citigroup Global Markets Limited on a LE 6 billion Eurobond issue for The Arab Republic of Egypt. The value of the transaction in U.S. dollars was just over US$1 billion.
This issue is the second Eurobond issue by The Arab Republic and the first denominated in Egyptian Pounds (payable in U.S. dollars). Camille Abousleiman said, "The LeBoeuf Lamb team is delighted to have advised J. P. Morgan and Citi on The Arab Republic of Egypt's first local currency sovereign bond issue. We are pleased to have assisted in all sovereign bond issues in the MENA region this year."
The LeBoeuf Lamb team advising The Arab Republic of Egypt included partners Camille Abousleiman and Federico Salinas and associates Patrick Lyons and Jessica Mider. They are all located in the firm's London office.
