FTSE Market Consultation results: Increased free float requirement for FTSE index eligibility

On 14 December 2011, the global index provider FTSE Group announced the outcome of a market consultation that considered tightening its eligibility criteria by modifying the free float requirement for UK incorporated companies (including UK holding companies with non-UK subsidiaries or overseas operations) seeking to be included in FTSE’s UK stock market indices, which includes the FTSE 100 Index and FTSE All-Share Index.
